Ten years ago, a slightly conservative, problematic young man, burdened by religious shame and sexual repression, left Windsor searching for a life he didn’t yet know how to live. Ten years later, he's home, this time as Boxcar Billy Butte, a cross-dressing clown from America’s largest Superfund site.

This 90-minute one-man show is a hilarious, heartfelt, and occasionally chaotic journey through a decade of growth: love, heartbreak, religion, , healing, life across the border, and living on a literal volcano.

​

Through drag, comedy, storytelling, iconic music, audience interaction, and beautiful unpredictability, Boxcar Billy Butte returns home to make sense of the person he was, the person he became, and everything that happened in between.

This isn’t just a performance. It’s a homecoming.

Proceeds support Friendsgiving, a free 2SLGBTQIA+ community event hosted in Windsor, Ontario.
